Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he will not watch the Champions League draw on Monday.

A 4-1 victory away to Basel saw the Gunners top Group A after Paris Saint-Germain failed to get past Ludogorets at home in the French capital.

It finished 2-2 in France therefore Arsenal were handed first place in the group. Top spot means Arsenal get the crucial second leg at home, but Wenger is keeping his feet on the ground.

“No team is super, super favourite. We finished top of the group so the second game is at home,” said Wenger (via The Mirror).

“Our challenge is to make an impact. We will wait and discover who we get and deal with it.

“Of course I have preferences but I better not say. I won’t watch it, I can’t influence it, so will be on the training pitch.”

The draw takes place in Nyon, Switzerland, from 11:00 GMT, followed by the draw for the last 32 of the Europa League.

Finishing top hasn’t been the blessing Arsenal fans had hoped for.

Real Madrid were pipped to top spot by Borussia Dortmund while Bayern Munich finished second to Atletico Madrid.

If The Gunners draw Bayern, it would be the third time in five years the sides will have met in the round of 16. Munich ran out winners on both previous occasions.

Arsenal fans will be hoping their side can draw either Bayer Leverkusen or Benfica.
