Arsenal fans have accused Arsene Wenger of mismanaging Alexandre Lacazette
The France international was hauled off after 68 minutes during with the Gunners leading 1-0 at Watford on Saturday. Following the substitution, Watford grew into the game and scored two second half goals to take the three points.
Many Arsenal fans are bemused as to why Wenger continues to hook his star striker towards the end of matches.
Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku has been most effective in the closing stages, where the opposition is fatigued. The Belgium international has netted 10 goals for Jose Mourinho’s side this season, with a large chunk of those coming in the final 10 minutes.
The Watford defeat marked the seventh time in eight games that Lacazette has failed to play a full ninety minutes for the north London side.
