What gets your vote for Arsenal legend’s greatest moment?

Well, Thierry Henry, arguably the greatest Arsenal player ever, retired from the beautiful game today and, like me, I’m sure you feel nothing but privileged to have watched the great man play for our wonderful club during his pomp and win me a few bets using the Onlinecasino.de promo code.

The former Arsenal, Barcelona, AS Monaco, Juventus and New York Red Bulls striker will not only go down as an Arsenal great but also a footballing great, with his personality, style of play and phenomenal goalscoring ability influencing so many of football’s biggest names.

When discussing Henry with fellow football lovers it is hard to recall and relive all of the wonderful moments he delivered, however, over here at Arsenal Mania HQ we’ve tried our best to deliver what WE think are Henry’s greatest footballing moments.

We kick things off with a moment from his last club, Major League Soccer Side New York Red Bulls, when Henry pulled off one of those things you always bet your mates that they can’t do: “Bet you can’t score directly from a corner.”

The audacity, skill and technique will stand the test of footballing time; Henry’s quick thinking was always one of his major assets. Fabian Barthez barely moved as the ball looped over the Manchester United ‘keeper’s head, as Highbury erupted whilst the Red Devils stood, dumbstruck, at what they’d just witnessed. It wouldn’t be a real discussion about Henry’s greatest goals without the one where the great man singlehandedly embarrassed Arsenal’s arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur. The definition of a solo goal and summed up everything about Henry as a footballer.

Easily my greatest moment as an Arsenal fan and, even now, I get emotional thinking about the moment Henry returned on loan and proved that class is permanent when he sent us into the next round of the FA Cup with a classic Thierry goal.

The memorable run to the 2005/06 Champions League final is full of so many iconic goals, however, when Henry turned on to style against football’s biggest side Real Madrid, in the Bernabeu as he made light work of some the game’s biggest names.
