Arsenal boss Unai Emery is strapped for cash this summer, that much seems clear.

The Gunners boss is strongly reported to have up to just £45m to splash out on players in a summer which has seen three of his first-team stars all leave for free.

Despite the boss having shaved over £400k-a-week off their wage bill this summer, the Spaniard still needs to find replacements for Aaron Ramsey in the heart of the midfield, Petr Cech’s goalkeeping contributions and Danny Welbeck as an option up front.

Denis Suarez and Stephan Lichsteiner had spells to forget, but David Ospina’s departure may finally force Emery into giving Emiliano Martinez a real crack at representing the first-team.

So far this summer, the Gunners have been linked with players here, there and everywhere.

Most recently, Celtic’s Kieran Tierney is the latest hot property. The Gunners have seen an initial bid of £15m and a second of £17.5m rejected by the Scottish champions. And it now seems Emery will have to take a big chunk out of his summer budget if he’s to land the exciting full-back.

Other names thrown around have been Sampdoria’s Joachim Anderson and Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.

Meanwhile, familiar stars such as Yannick Carrasco, Ivan Perisic and Wilfried Zaha have all been touted for a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Gooners, realistically, on a £45m budget, how would you like to see Unai Emery spend his transfer money? Let us know in the comments…
