Arsene Wenger revealed some refreshing injury news ahead of tomorrow’s match, with as many as four first team players returning from injury. The likes of Mathieu Debuchy, Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere, and Abou Diaby have all missed long stints, but were involved in a friendly match on Tuesday. A beaming Wenger had this to say about his returning players at his press conference:
“They were all involved on Tuesday and it went well. They’ve no problem after that coming out of the game. They are back available in training, a bit short still of top competitive level certainly but that’s normal.”
“They’ve been out for a long time but I was quite surprised by how fit they looked and the quality of their performance – it was good.”
With the team in good form having picked up some momentum in the league, the news will come as music to gooners’ ears. It seems the team is going from strength to strength, which can only be a good thing in the quest to finish second in the League and retain the FA Cup.
