Young Spanish full back Hector Bellerin has made a big impact this season, so much so that he has overtaken Calum Chambers and Debuchy with the latter being out for most of the season. His form has led to him catching the eye of former club Barcelona. Experienced French international Mat Debuchy would probably be the first choice when fit but Bellerin offers a lot more pace and finesse.

Similarly to another break out star Coquelin, Bellerin was on a season-long loan at a Championship side before getting in the first team. This right back was at Watford in the 2013-14 season. The Spaniard has a good scoring record for a defender too, scoring twice in 20 full appearances this season. He is very dangerous going forward, which comes from him originally being a winger. He looks like another smart buy from Wenger and would be a very capable purchase for Barcelona.

Another reason why Bellerin should not be sold to his former club Barcelona is that first choice right back Debuchy turns 30 in a couple of months. So it seems Bellerin is the natural successor to him. He still needs to improve his defensive play though, as on occasions he has been caught in the oppositions half.  In the first half of the season Arsenal kept on being caught on the counter attack. Nevertheless he puts in decent crosses and can score the odd goal or two.

Hector Bellerin has great potential with Arsenal; he is still very young at the age of twenty and if he improves his defensive play he could become a legend at the club.
