Whatever Arsene Wenger says, a section of the Arsenal fanbase will criticise, no matter what.

Most recently Gunners boss revealed that both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez could be sold in the January transfer window.

That of course has riled up a fraction of the Gunners faithful who are irate that Wenger has issued a ‘come and get them’ plea to rival clubs.

However, these are the same supporters who criticised the Frenchman for promising a player would be staying put, before effectively going back on his word and allowing them to be sold.

Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie are all former star players who Wenger claimed would not be leaving the club, before selling each one months later.

It’s clear that the Gunners boss just cannot win whatever he says to the press.

If he lied about Sanchez and Ozil’s possible departures, Gooners would only ridicule the Frenchman if the pair are sold in January. Yet when the boss finally adheres to supporters and tells the truth, they still bemoan.

A lose-lose.

Gooners, your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments…
