Jack Wilshere is a talented player but his poor injury record has halted his expected progression. His infamous runs make him a target for defenders and this is where he has got injured in the past. While he is prone to bad decisions on the park, he has also made some bad decisions off it, like being caught smoking in the changing room after a game. With him being English there is always a lot of pressure on him. If Arsenal ever decided to let him go there would be plenty of top clubs interested in him.

He is only 23 years old so he has plenty of time left to develop. However, he does need a decent run of games in the team so he can perform to his best. His undisputed talent was shown in Arsenal’s last match against Hull. His runs were for all to see and though he was clattered at one stage which made the fans nervous, he seemed to recover quickly.

This Englishman has been at Arsenal since the age of nine. Primarily playing in a central midfield role, Jack Wilshere joined Arsenal in a permanent role back in December 2012. He has the honour of being Arsenal’s youngest player in the league and is the youngest to represent the club in Europe. He previously spent time on loan at Bolton but he has played over 150 appearances for Arsenal, scoring eleven times for the North London club.

The competition in Arsenal’s midfield could make Wilshere’s consistent return to the first team difficult. He has the potential to achieve big things at the club, but he needs a good run of games to reach his peak.
