With Jack Wilshere on the treatment table yet again, there is a big debate amongst the Arsenal faithful and England fans whether or not he will ever reach the potential that he showed in the past.

Although it might seem like he’s been around forever, he is still only 23-years-old. When he comes back from this unfortunate injury, he still has plenty of time in his career, not only to regain his fitness, get back on track for club and country and find form, but to reach the monumental potential he’s shown in the past that had all the makings of a future England captain.

It’s a tragedy that Wilshere’s career has been stunted by injury and fitness problems when it looked like he had the world at his feet. But he has plenty of time to reach his potential and being honest when fit, he is head and shoulders above the other options in central midfield for England.

Despite his young age, he is vastly experienced at international level and the most technically gifted player England has. He was just getting back to form and showing the quality and leadership for England we all know he can with two wonder goals against Slovenia before he suffered another cruel injury.

He might need some to time to come back for this one, but he will come back stronger and will be crucial part of the England setup for the next decade.
