Wilfried Zaha has refused to rule out a move to Arsenal this summer.
Zaha is gearing up for Ivory Coast’s last-16 clash with Mali at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, but was asked by a reporter on the links with Arsenal.
The Gunners have had a bid of £40million rejected for Zaha, with Crystal Palace understood to be holding out for a fee of around £70m for the 26-year-old forward.
Unai Emery may have to offload one or two if he’s to match Palace’s asking-price, but the fact that Zaha is very keen to join his boyhood club could bode well in transfer negotiation.
Asked about Arsenal’s £40m offer, Zaha told On Sport: ‘I have no comment on it. The only thing that’s on my mind right now is trying to win this cup [AFCON].’
Pushed on whether he would like to play for Arsenal, Zaha replied: ‘I don’t know… we’ll see in the future.’
Gooners, would you like to see Zaha in an Arsenal shirt? Let us know in the comments…
