The boy’s a bit special

Stefan O’Connor is a centre back who joined Arsenal in 2010 from London rivals Crystal Palace.

The Arsenal youngster clearly isn’t short on confidence as he compares himself to Rio Ferdinand in his style of play and presence on the pitch.

Career highlights so far

The Englishman has yet to have any huge career defining moments, however, from his own personal point of view, there’s no doubt the 17-year-old will be chuffed with his eight league appearances for the Under-21s last season which also included a goal against Manchester City.

Future Emirates regular?

Isaac Hayden is the next Arsenal youngster in line at centre back, however, Hayden may well be called upon this season due to Arsenal’s injuries and lack of options.

Actually, come to think of it, we are only about two or three more injuries away from Hayden and O’Connor forming the heart of the defence!

His most interesting tweet

I’ll be honest, I struggled to know what the majority of Stefan’s tweets meant – seriously, does anyone know what: “I was so clapped” means? – however, what did come through whilst scrolling down the Arsenal youngster’s timeline was his love for Arsenal, his pride at the fact he was representing the Gunners and his desire to succeed at the Emirates.
