Aaron Ramsey has admitted he has not been at his best for Arsenal so far this season. Speaking to reporters in Wales while away with the national team, Ramsey says he is still recovering from a few early knocks and will soon be back to his best.

“I’ve had a few injuries this season and I’m just getting back” he said.

“To be honest, I’m still not 100 per cent physically there and it does take a bit out of me.”

“It will take me a few more games to be back to my best and I’m not worried. Certain criticism from people is unfair.”

He may have been referring to Charlie Nicholas’ claims that he is too concerned with “Hollywood football” alluding to selfish pursuits in front of goal.

Those comments are a bit unfair, and I think Ramsey should be given some leeway given his injury problems. The season is still young and this is no time to panic. He has been a shadow of his form last year that’s for sure, but then again so has the entire team at this point and Ramsey will soon find his form again.

I haven’t seen him bursting forward as much and that is probably due to his lack of full fitness. Once his engine returns, his form will too I have no doubt. Wenger has been playing him sparingly recently as well so Ramsey is correct about not being 100 percent.

Good on him to acknowledge this, and worry not, he will soon be back. As will Arsenal.

Well I really hope Aaron returns to his best as soon as possible because the team as a whole really needs him to. But please allow me to make a statement here, why has Arsene refused to cover our Defensive midfield position all this while, making a man of over 33years captain and expecting us to get results? Please does anybody have the statistics of how many fouls Arteta has committed this season? He hasn’t got the legs to be a defensive midfielder in a team that wants to be as competitive as Arsenal, he hasn’t got the mobility. Please I have got nothing against Mikel but let’s say it the way it is. Look at our top contenders, they have much more physical approaches to their games, all over Europe, there’s no top team at any point in time who can’t get physical and dirty when they have to. The reason why we have issues is because we don’t have the physicality.
