Arsenal target Nabil Fekir sparkled in France’s clash with Denmark yesterday. France ran out 2-0 winners over, and the young Lyon starlet shone brightly in the advanced midfield position. Lyon teammate Alexandre Lacazette and our very own Olivier Giroud grabbed the goals, but it was new boy Fekir that really stole the show.

Silky skills and positive play from the lad, driving at will at defenders and feeding in balls for runners. He combined brilliantly with another Lyon teammate Christophe Jallet down the right, threading the ball with perfectly weighted passes for the right back to cross on several occasions.

Fekir’s movement is intelligent, popping up all over the pitch to receive the ball and pulling the strings with his dribbling ability and passes. He absolutely glides past defenders at will this lad, and looks to create through penetration. He is quite difficult to stop once he gets up a head of steam.

He is intelligent in his passing as well, making things tick over with the simple passes available. He looks to draw defenders in before releasing the ball to the open man in the space created, and in doing so opens up much space for his teammates.

Fekir has surely put himself in Deschamp’s plans going forward and possibly in Wenger’s as well assuming the boss was watching the match.

He has been linked with a move to Arsenal since January now and his stock will surely have risen after his latest displays. He could do a job for Arsenal in the future.
