After today, seeing the good Guen again, my favorite midfield would be Willock - Guen - Ceballos.

So much potential, dynamism, technical ability..

Still like Torreira a lot, but that's my soft-spot-midfield

Probably most technical midfield of the bunch, but also the most inexperienced and a bit soft? I'd go with this for some of the home games though.

I'm really impressed by his pre-season. He reminds me of another CM that never reached his potential : Hopefully Joe will be a lot less injury prone and far more consistent player. But I feel like we haven't had that kind of CM, able to make powerful run through the middle for a long long time.

He needs to be involved this season. Definitely could have at least a Guendouzi level impact this coming season. I wouldn't have him as a starter quite yet, but he's looking a great rotation/cup start option.

He's better as a CAM.

Would've been great to have had Ramsey as the starting CAM with Willock as backup and Özil in Turkey.

I would like an apology from those who mocked me when I suggested this dude as an internal Ramsey replacement a couple of months back, assuming he continues his solid form into the season.
I remember saying the same. Nobody appreciates what we've got, the grass is only greener on the other side!

I like Willock. Awareness, calmness, conviction, confidence.

I’m reminded of those feelings I had of young Jack when he didn’t look out-of-place against Barcelona all those years ago.

Didn't realise how good his left foot is. Very impressive display so far.

Xhaka-Ceballos-Willock. Think this'll be the midfield trio for Newcastle. Guendouzi is a week behind but I expect Emery to bench Willock for him in the home game against Burnley.

It's amazing because Willock hasn't really received the same hype as some of our other young talents yet he's clearly by far the most ready for first team football. He has something which means he's capable of making the step up from youth football to senior football and not look out of place. I think some young players for all their talent lack this, especially when it comes to making a step up when it's a club like Arsenal with all the pressures and the challenges.

Arsenal Quotes

This is a big moment of happiness...we waited a long time for this and the happiness is linked sometimes with the suffering, and the time that you have to wait....this was more important than all the other (trophies) we have twice won the double, but were not under pressure then like we were today.
