The Spanish press are running so hard with this its too good to be true.

Just like when we're linked with a player for ages. Its usually the ones you aren't linked with regularly that arrive.

Wouldn't be surprised if that sort of attitude put his family off Madrid.

Feel kinda sorry for rich kid...18yo, seemingly wants to play for Madrid but can't get assurances he'll get to play, can't risk not playing with the world cup right around the corner, and for better or worse, has to involve his family in the decision making process. Has a safe option in staying put but by doing so is placing all of his eggs in the basket of moving next summer to Madrid with the same lack of assurances re play time, or even less knowing Madrid and their likelihood of purchasing more attackers this window(or, given the right conditions, Asensio's development and adapting into different roles).

But if he goes to London he may not live up to pressure/expectations and career could go in a completely different direction altogether. If he delivers in London he'll be on track to be one of the top earners in the world and would be able to walk into any club he wants.

His agent is the same as Mustafi's correct? Surely the agent has let them in on how Madrid's press tactics work?

What even is this - they've been talking about Mbappe wanting to sign for RM all the time and now he needs persuading as well ?

I think they'll get him in the end but this is very entertaining....they might miss out on their biggest target for 2 consecutive summers. Their heads must be spinning.

Yep i love seeing this stuff. On the off chance it's all true that could mean he's actually considering Arsenal. It could also mean he's just trying to decide between staying another year at Monaco and leaving for RM, but there's hope.
And if it's all bulls**t, great. Quiet is good for us right now.

It's quiet because news outlets have linked us with the more obtainable and less in demand Lacazette. It screams Gervinho/Hazard to me all over again.

PSG are supposedly after him also which is his hometown club. I remember reading he'd love to play for PSG around the start of last season. Thought he was a glory hunting **** back then having not seen him play yet or knowing Paris was where he is from.

For PSG it'd be MASSIVE. Like really really massive to get the best forward talent in years ahead of Real Madrid from a political power play stand point. This trouble they are having dealing with Verratti now and no star attraction since Zlatan's departure will go away. They need something this window to relaunch their project and show they can compete at the very top. And he is French and from Paris.

What goes against them though is (if) Mbappe signs the likeliness of moving to a Real Madrid/Barcelona reduces a lot. Similar to what Verratti is facing right now.

Personally don't see any benefit to him joining Madrid. Could join any team in the PL to get more money and guaranteed game time. Learn under more experienced managers etc.
