Leandro Trossard: Tross The Process

There are some games where he seems a lot less effective, haven't really figured out what they are yet but sometimes his performances are weird. Struggled with keeping the ball and pressure which isn't like him

Very poor on the ball today, cheaply losing possession way too often. In that first half that side of him and Tomi was shocking.

As @El Duderino stated, Trossard is a streaky player, blows hot and cold way too quickly.
Yes, one of his less effective performances, his inclination to dribble out with the ball in our own half caused some difficult moments.

But still, it was his workrate and pressing that forced the corner on Sp**s from which Havertz scored our third.

As long as the alternative is Martinelli this guy should be a starter. I'd rather have 3/5 good games from Trossard than 0/5 from Martinelli

He worked hard yesterday without too much to show for it. It's fine, he's had some really good performances lately.

I know that defensive work isn't the most natural for him and I respect him for working hard at it but please stop overplaying in our defensive third Leo.

If you're in the LB position you don't need to be doing pirouettes and trying to dribble out of trouble every time, play the simple pass. He did it four times in the first half in really dangerous areas and lost possession twice.

Everytime he gets the ball you feel like something is going to happen, he reminds me of Alexis but with less athleticism.
Someone else also said he reminded them of Arshavin, which is a decent comparison.

I can see a bit of the Alexis comparison too.

He's exciting to watch & has super end product.

Anyone saying we should sell is mad !

He wasn't great yesterday, but he's earned his place in the starting eleven.
This is interesting because all of his games are like that. I wanted him in a central position as he gets older but more and more I see him as a super backup. I don't think anymore that he has enough influence on the game for a full 90min, he has a few moments of brilliance and that's that.

Absolutely love this player and hope he stays with us and be OK with his role

If we get a winger like Williams he'll be back to his super backup role again. Now he's our best option given Martinelli's form.

But I agree with you. What a player to have from the bench.

I feel even though he scores important goals he still can improve his game a lot more. Imposing himself on games for one...

Feels like he really takes advantage of when a backline is literally on the back foot and out of shape.
