So we pray that Liverpool win at least with 3 goal difference tomorrow. Meaning GD of Villa drops to 17 vs 12 of Sp**s. Given that the last game of the season is against Sheffield (with assumption Villa will lose, Sp**s can still win comfortable 4-0 to take top 4.

Just need the domino's to fall in place ...

Did you forget Man City vs QPR 2012? More epic seems impossible (yes even beating our 89). Last game, you need win to win the tittle and down 1-2 with full 90 minutes gone. And still managed to score in the 92nd and 94th minute to win the game and thus the title. That's super epic.
I can't believe I have to clarify this but NOTHING compares to '89, and almost certainly never will

the only time the top two teams have ever played each other in the last game of the season (this was also before all final games were played at the same time), at Anfield, Liverpool 3 points ahead of Arsenal with a goal difference of +39 to Arsenal's +35

0-0 at half time, Alan Smith makes it 0-1 in the 53rd minute - after an excruciating check with the linesman level on points but Liverpool still ahead on goal difference, +38 to +36

then in the 1st minute of injury time Michael Thomas makes it 0-2 - level on points, level on goal difference of +37 - Arsenal win the title by scoring 73 goals to 65

if you are an Arsenal fan it doesn't matter how old you are, you owe it to yourself to watch '89 or just youtube highlights of the game

Only game I would've be confident city will drop points would've been pool away.. Sp**s are unpredictable but you know a lose is still more likely sadly

City played QPR at home who were relegated already. Was exciting for neutrals yes but would've been the ultimate bottlejob for them to not win it against that opposition.

Ourselves vs Liverpool we won it in injury time against our direct competitor, on their ground, level on points and goal difference only on account of goals scored. Zero comparison 89 might never be surpassed ever.
