If we get 89 points that would win 20/30 of the premier league seasons. It's a bit special to go beyond that even though in reality the games we dropped points have largely been very winnable.

We had a **** first half of the season. Our form in the second half is pretty much what it was in the first half of last season, the sort that gets you 100 points.

Gary O Neil's one touch build up passing is excellent. Very hard to man mark.

We need to bring back that aspect of play to our game again, hopefully next season.

Don't get too down by this result, it's the away games that are our only hope anyway...if they only win by 3 here too they that's a result for us, as the goal difference won't change.

Whoever is top going into the final game will win it imo, just gotta pray it's us...but don't fully give up until then either!

The counter point to this is that Liverpool would have said the same things when they were pipped by a point.
Liverpool lost one game that season, based on a goal line clearance from Stones. Very different scenario.

You have to expect the first half to be slightly experimental, as you try different setups and integrate new players.

What we need to do next season is have a set, effective system in place to help us win the early games. Then we can try and do both, win and prepare for the run in.

Alvarez comes off the bench and scores whereas we have Martinelli who just squanders those sort of chances when he comes on.

We need some hungry players off the bench.

yes it's difference they have Doku Grealish Alvarez coming from bench that can give you something we still not reached this kind of depth i don't think we'll ever reach that because these players worth 200M.

Wolves haven't shot just themselves in the foot here, they have machine gunned their own legs. They are sh!t at playing out from the back and get caught all the time.

True. Should have also gone for it more at The Etihad.

It’s all ifs and buts at this stage tho.

If only Trossard could have squared it to Martinelli ugh.

Our December was atrocious and it's what's going to cost us the league this season, the next step in our evolution is to avoid consecutive poor results.
