What's better? Tottenham winning today so they gain some confidence for their game against City, or Tottenham losing so they feel the pressure of the teams behind them and their game against City becomes must win?

I think I'm grasping at straws here

I want a Sp**s win today.

They absolutely have to gain some confidence and have something to play for going into midweek. They probably will still lose their next game, but they must have a reason to give it a go.

You should do really we won a bunch of trophies and played amazing football under an incredibly charismatic manager back then
What does that have to do with the overall strength of the league?

Oh yeah, its OFFICIALLY a two horse race now.

A shame Klopp had to go out this way, but its still been a good season for them, all things considered. They'd probably argue a better season than ours, as United did last season.

League is very weak
So the league is crap now because City are on a long unbeaten run, but the league was amazing when we went entire season without losing? Make it make sense.
I have never said the league is crap because City are winning it. City are winning because of their big money advantage.

I’m saying the league is bad because the player quality has gone down from footballers to athletes.

What you’re saying has never been my argument.

This is the worst Arsenal attack I have seen for example.

Yet the joint most goals scored ever, and likely a new record to be set in the history of AFC by season's end?

What does this tell us?

The league is crap, told you this before. Everybody is scoring more too.

What would Cesc, Mesut, RvP, Hehry, Sanchez etc fo to this league today?

Took a 2 goal handicap on Fulham and still lost my bet by 2 goals. Where is that fool who said you should bet your spare house on Fulham I would like a word with him.

It seems you disregard the importance of systems and tactics.

There would be improvements in these teams of course, as those players you mention are all excellent. But the systems they come from, or teams they play in wont stand a chance against today's level of tactical and system planning.

In other words... you bring that John Terry Chelsea team of 05/06 to the modern age, and I bet you City pull them apart like their midtable. Its also exactly why Mourinho fell off the way he did... football evolved beyond his core strengths and ultimately nullified him.

When I make a case for the league being harder today, its not just about players. Its everything that has advanced over the last years. There is no comparison between now and the 2000s, just like there is no comparison between the 2000s and the 1980s.

I will say that you have a case for the players though but that has always been there. Just like you had Cesc, Henry, Ronaldo in the 2000s, did you have Romario, Bebeto, Laudrup, Maldini in the 90s, and so on. Everyone thinks player quality is dropping with time.

All you have to do is sit down and watch a full match from the early 2000s and it's so obvious. Everyone is slower on average, attackers are taking insane risks left and right and losing the ball in awful positions, defenders are allowed to practically maul players, the pitches are ****, so many players who literally cannot use their weak foot, defenders look like spastic hamsters trying to play football etc.

I find it more enjoyable to watch because it was more chaotic, but you'd have to be on something to watch 90 minutes of that **** and think "these lads are superior footballers" Obviously you still had brilliant players sprinkled throughout that would easily hang in today's game but your average mid-table player was barely Championship quality in terms of technical ability.

Sadly City’s final two games are against Sp**s and West Ham, two teams who’ve been in poor form for weeks.
Can’t see City dropping points.

This Sp**s team are devoid of confidence right now, look at how Burnley are having their way so far.

I think if Sp**s lose today their CL dreams are over too.

Such a shame they dropped points vs. Shefield at home and then couldnt get that win vs. Everton recently. They fought well by scoring in most games, so hopefully a miracle in final day saves them at Forrest's expense.

If the same club wins 6 out of the last 7 titles, 4 in a row, I'm sorry it's not a competitive league. It can be again when the title changes hands. Like Seria A, after Juve got punished, Milan, Napoli, Inter all won it. Now that's interesting, exciting even. This foregone conclusion is not. We had 3 teams in the running this season and still the most obvious one won out. It's boring frankly. Nobody will care except us cause everyone wants to be the one to dethrone City and not their rivals.

Kompany is a good manager, he has Burnley playing to a solid system here, despite their struggles.

Hoping they can survive still. It would need some help from West Ham and Chelsea, and then a win against Forest on the final day.

Arsenal Quotes

I want a fan to wake up in the morning and say, “Arsenal are playing today, I’m going to have a good time.” That guy starts his day off by thinking that something good is going to happen to him. And to do that, big clubs like Arsenal have to have the ambition to play spectacularly. Of shared happiness.
