After a fantastic October, November was a little disappointing. A draw in the North London derby and against Norwich City, either side of a loss to West Brom, wasn’t what anybody wanted.

That’s not to say there wasn’t positives though, as Mesut Ozil continued his fine form and Arsenal performed fantastic to keep their Champions League hopes alive against Dinamo Zagreb- setting up a winner-takes-all clash with Olympiakos.

The crucial European game is just one of many Arsenal face this month, which leads us to our latest piece where @DanGaleaStJohn predicts how the Gunners fixture schedule in December will shape up. Will there be reason to celebrate the New Year?

5th December: Arsenal v Sunderland (Premier League)

A must win game if we are to end this recent slump in form. It will be a tough game, especially bearing in mind the do or die clash with Olympiakos during the week that follows.

Still, I expect an easy win and Cech to break the clean sheet record- which he truly deserves.

Arsenal to win 2-0.

9th December: Olympiakos v Arsenal (Champions League)

A real tricky game, especially considering we have lost the last three visits there. Having said that, all 3 fixtures were played with qualification already assured.

With the injuries we have I am not too confident, but it all depends on the performance on the day.

(Optimistically) a 3-1 win.

13th December: Aston Villa v Arsenal (Premier League)

Probably the easiest fixture of the month, with Aston Villa dangling dangerously at the bottom of the table.

However, as we saw with West Brom and Norwich, Arsenal cannot afford to take them for granted.

3-1 win.

21st December: Arsenal v Manchester City (Premier League)

Probably the biggest fixture of the season. It all depends on who is back from injury (and who has joined the injury list), but City have as many flaws as Arsenal do.

I can realistically see us putting them to the sword.

2-1 win.

26th December: Southampton v Arsenal (Premier League)

I am not very optimistic about this fixture, with what happened last year. However, a win is very feasible. Having said that, I don’t fancy us.

1-1 draw

28th December: Arsenal v Bournemouth (Premier League)

Two days later Arsenal face Bournemouth to close off the first half of the season. It all depends on the team’s energy levels but it won’t be as easy as some may think. It’ll be a hard-fought game.

1-0 win

So, Arsenal have it within their capabilities to finish the year with a nice unbeaten record. The month will be crucial in the Premier League and Champions League campaigns, so let’s hope it all falls together as planned!

How do you think Arsenal will perform this month? Let us know in the comments below!
