Tomas Rosicky has been linked with a move away from Arsenal and back to his former and hometown club Sparta Prague. Rosicky is the longest serving Arsenal player following the departure of Abou Diaby and the senior most member of the squad at 34.

He started his career at hometown club Sparta Prague in 1998 before making the move to Dortmund in 2001 and Arsenal in 2006. TalkSport has now claimed Sparta Prague has launched a bid to bring their former player back home, news that has seemingly been confirm by majority shareholder Daniel Kretinsky.

“I’d love him to come and for it to happen soon,” Kretinsky said.

“But I don’t want to put uncomfortable pressure on Tomas. It’s up to him, I understand that leaving Arsenal isn’t easy.”

We gooners love and rate Tomas and most of still believe he has something to offer. However, it seems clear Wenger has no plans to heavily involve him and in that case releasing him may be whats best for both parties. Tomas has stated his unhappiness at sitting on the bench, and in truth his wages may be better served going to an impact player.

Rosicky wasn’t even named among the subs for much of the closing weeks of the season, and it is unfair to the player to keep him under these conditions. For me, if Tomas wants to leave to get first team football, he should be allowed to do so.

Wenger has displayed a more ruthless and pragmatic approach to transfers recently, and it shouldn’t stop now. Length at the club and relationship should mean nothing when doing what’s right for the team. He showed that with Diaby, as well as buying Cech, Ozil, and Sanchez despite arguably possessing adequate cover.

Rosicky seems to be surplus to requirements, so why hold him any longer? He has also been linked with a move to the MLS in the past, which may interest Tomas as well.

Tomas Rosicky is very talented experienced and highly respected world class player. As well as a captain for his national team . We are very unfortunate that he got injured during hid years at Arsenal . We should make him an Arsenal Ambassador like Henry , Pires , Luinburj and others .

Let him go. Guys been a good servant but has never lived up to the hype of 2004 when he was arguably one of the most promising players on the planet.
