It is around this time where most Arsenal fans start to fear the worst for the club.

The players seem to turn off right after January and everything starts to fall apart. We all remember what a first half of a season we had last year, it was one of the best couple of months Arsenal had in a long time. What about that dreadful 2010-2011 season? We are gunning for the quadruple but then blew it!

But we are here this season, and things should change. Arsenal shouldn’t look to just snatch fourth place and go above Tottenham! They should learn to be mean, hungry and bad at times. I remember when I watched the Invincibles squad I thought they were terrifying.

Sol Campbell, Gilberto, Ashley Cole, Lauren, Lehmann, Vieira and Henry… They were mean, bad and unforgiveable. That’s what we need to get third place and second if we could.

The way I see things Manchester United don’t deserve to be in the top four with the football they are playing. The way they played against Preston North End was embarrassing at times I thought Preston were a Premier League team.

Southampton thoroughly deserve to be up there and it would be an unbelievable achievement if they do it but I don’t think they’ve got enough in their ranks to keep on going till May.

The club needs to show the hunger they have to beat teams badly, play beautiful football of course but show no mercy.

Play against Manchester United in the FA Cup and let them suffer.

They’ve been bossing us around lately and with a team like that we should be beating them quite easily.

Our players are back fully fit and its about time we started showing some consistency. We haven’t done great in the first half of the season this year and we should push on from now until May to try and win every game possible.

Let’s show Europe that Arsenal can go far in the Champions League, beat AS Monaco at the Emirates and finish it in London, play the second string at Monaco to give our players a breather.

That’s how our team should act and that’s how big competitions are won.

The team needs more players with Alexis Sanchez’s attitude, that “no pain no gain” attitude.

Hopefully this year our “February to April” patch isn’t a bad one.

Keep the faith.

Don’t see much hope with Wenger at the helm. Same mistakes and attitude every time. Mertesacker is shocking. Why he still plays for us I don’t know. His lack of pace is too costly.

    Hey GRGunner,
True but I honestly can’t think of a better manager than Arsene Wenger for the next couple of years. All players respect him and want to work with him because he is one of the best in the business. We have been struggling with the same problems lately but I believe most was bad luck and players being naive.

    Keep the faith!
    Cheers.
