With Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger having given his pre-Liverpool press conference earlier today, there were some alarming takeaways for some Gooners.

On one hand, Wenger played it very coy when questioned directly about the club’s pursuit of Shkodran Mustafi, serving to suggest that the deal is pretty much there after the club agreed a move in principle yesterday.

Elsewhere however, Wenger claimed that the club are only looking at signing a defender at the moment when pressed on how many players he believes the club need to recruit this summer.

This has got some Gooners hot and bothered today due to the fact it appears Wenger is yet again willing to head into a new campaign without having recruited the top striker the club requires so desperately.

While we know that top class striking solutions are thin on the ground this summer, the club’s interest in Alexandre Lacazette seems to have waned since Lyon slapped a £60 million fee on the Frenchman’s shoulders.

Again, it appears things are coming down to money and while Lacazette isn’t worth £60 million, it’s very questionable whether Arsenal can win the league with just Olivier Giroud as an out-and-out striking option.

With the transfer window having proved as frustrating as ever for Arsenal’s fanbase, Arsenal Mania today list FIVE Arsenal tactics that just haven’t made sense this summer.
