Arsenal center-back Gabriel Magalhaes has been the subject of interest from other clubs and has now hinted at where his future allegiance lies.

THE LOWDOWN: JUVENTUS RETAIN INTEREST IN GABRIEL

Gabriel has been in the news for a while and this is largely due to the interest from Italian giants, Juventus. The Serie A side are in need of a solid centre-back to replace Giorgio Chiellini and have also recently lost Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich. According to reports, the Brazilian is high on the list of three potential replacements that the club wants to bring in as he is highly admired.

Interest from Juventus has been in the news since April. During this period, Gabriel scored for Arsenal in their 2-1 win at West Ham and his celebration seemed like a response to the rumours. He ran towards the Arsenal fans and pointed towards the badge on his shirt, signifying that he’s not leaving anytime soon.

In addition, a more recent claim from Di Marzio also suggests that the defender has categorically said ‘NO’ to Juventus.

Gabriel is on a long-term deal at Arsenal and that means the club cannot be forced into an unfavorable and panicky position. The player has also looked at home, starting 35 times in the Premier League last season. The growing Brazilian contingency at the club is also positive, further strengthened by the arrival of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

THE LATEST: JUVENTUS YET TO MAKE OFFICIAL OFFER

Despite the strong links and reports, Juventus are yet to make an official bid for Gabriel. If the interest is genuine, it is expected that this offer will come in soon as the Italian club just sold De Ligt to Bayern Munich for a huge fee.

THE VERDICT: GABRIEL STAYS

Mikel Arteta has been building his own team since he became Arsenal coach and then manager. His team is taking shape, with Gabriel an essential part of it.

Arsenal are in the Europa League this season, which means more games. It is not the time to lose important players in the team as it could potentially weaken the core.

It is also a good thing that Gabriel has shown his commitment to remain at the club.
