Martin Odegaard says he’s hopeful of reigniting his Real Madrid career.

The Norweigan currently on loan at Real Sociedad was named La Liga’s Player of the Month for September and there’s no doubt his parent club would have been impressed with his performances.

Odegaard, 20, who has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City, has only played twice for Real’s first team since they beat a host of European clubs to his signature back in 2015.

He has been tipped as a longterm replacement for Mesut Ozil next summer.

However, the in-demand playmaker insists he wants to see out his entire two-year loan spell with Real Sociedad.

During an interview with Eurosport Norway., he said: “The idea is to respect the contract and the loan. I have a contract with Real Sociedad right now and I am happy in the team.

“That is how I want it to be until the end of my two years here. I hope I can continue here because I enjoy playing football at a good club.”
