Arsenal hero Ian Wright says he blames the board for allowing another ‘potential Arsenal legend to leave the club’.

Alexis Sanchez completed his move to Manchester United on Monday. The Chilean joins Jose Mourinho’s side in a deal that will see him earn betwen £350,000-£400,000-per-week.

The decision to allow Sanchez to leave was taken in favour of the player departing for free next summer. Instead Arsenal have sealed a swap deal with United with outcast Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined the north Londoners.

Wright is disappointed to see Sanchez call time on his three-and-a-half year stint at Arsenal to join Mourinho’s side.

“Gutted to see this but, he did say on many occasions he wants to win things!” he wrote on Instagram (via the Star).

“Another one of our potential legends has left us for Manchester United!

“Gotta blame the board. Good luck @alexis_officia1 you gave everything for us.”

Sanchez netted 80 goals and won two FA Cups at Arsenal. The Chilean’s left Arsenal 6th in the league, five points behind 5th placed Liverpool.
