Arsenal’s proposed deal for Denis Suarez remains uncertain to go through, but the north Londoners are the ‘only possibility’ for the Spaniard this month.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo write that Arsenal and Barcelona have already started negotiations, and they’re moving towards a loan deal with a compulsory purchase option at the end of the season. They say Suarez has ruled out joining Chelsea or AC Milan, and Arsenal are now the ‘only possibility’ for him.
The midfielder has been frozen out at the Nou Camp this season, having made just two La Liga appearances for the Catalan giants.
The Gunners are attempting to land the 25-year-old to replace the outgoing Aaron Ramsey at the end of the season and have spoken to the Spaniard’s agent about a £20million deal.
However, despite there being a buyout clause in the midfielder’s contract, Barcelona do not want to see him leave the Camp Nou just yet with the La Liga club thought to be playing hardball with the Gunners.
