Arsenal have never looked more attractive to global brands. Off the back of winning the Premier League title and a run to the Champions League final, the Gunners have agreed to a string of record-breaking sponsorship deals, significantly boosting their commercial operation. What was once a club renowned for its footballing pedigree is now also known for its success off the pitch.

Back-To-Back Titles Looks On

The timing of all this could hardly be better. Arsenal won the title last season, and Premier League betting odds suggest they are likely to make it back-to-back success this term. The club’s hierarchy is determined to capitalise on momentum, and the flurry of fresh commercial agreements should enable them to provide manager Mikel Arteta with the tools he needs to keep the good times rolling.

Emirates Extend Their Long-Standing Partnership

At the heart of this commercial surge is a renewed agreement with Emirates, the airline that has been splashed across the front of Arsenal’s matchday shirts since 2006. The two parties have agreed to a five-year extension, taking the partnership through to 2033, in a deal thought to be worth around £70 million per season as standard. The new deal also covers naming rights for the stadium, cementing what is the longest-running sponsorship deal in Premier League history.

Arsenal’s outgoing chief commercial officer, Juliet Slot, played a pivotal role in getting the deal over the line before she leaves the club later this year, a fitting achievement after helping transform Arsenal’s commercial fortunes.

New Faces Join As Sponsors

Emirates are far from the only name generating headlines where Arsenal are concerned. Global payroll platform Deel has taken over as sleeve sponsor, replacing Visit Rwanda, with the deal reported to be worth around £18 million a year. That places the Gunners just behind Manchester United and Manchester City, whose sleeve deals are worth slightly more at £20 million per year. However, Arsenal’s could climb higher based on performance-related targets being hit.

Elsewhere, Arsenal’s existing kit manufacturer agreement continues to grow in value, with the arrangement with Nike running through to 2030 and worth £75 million as a base fee. Combined, these deals represent one of the most lucrative commercial portfolios in world football.

Success Breeds Success

There’s a clear pattern emerging at Arsenal. On-pitch success is driving off-pitch success and investment, which helps to fuel more success on the pitch. Sponsors are drawn to a club with genuine momentum, and Arsenal’s recent history has given brands all the reasons they need to buy in. The commercial boom also reflects a broader shift across the league, as sleeve and stadium sponsorships become increasingly important amid tighter restrictions on the front-of-shirt space.

A Strong Foundation For The Future

For Arsenal supporters, the financial windfall is about much more than numbers on a balance sheet. Extra revenue means more power in the transfer market, better facilities, and a stronger platform from which to challenge across all competitions, season in season out. Having ended the long wait for another Premier League title last season, the club is now in a position to build a lasting dynasty rather than it being a one-off success.

With sponsors already lining up to be associated with the Gunners, and the squad already showing it’s picked up where it left off last season, Arsenal’s commercial work looks set to pay dividends from here on in.
