Arsenal were potentially hoping to snap up Ryan Fraser for free in the summer, but the forward may no longer be on the market following reports Bournemouth are set to offer the Scot a bumper new deal in an effort to keep hold of him.

Out of contract in the summer, the winger has been offered a fresh £100,000-a-week deal to extend his stay on the South Coast – according to 90min.com.

Chelsea are also said to be in for the 25 year-old who was only second to Eden Hazard in the assists chart last season (14).

Bournemouth set to offer Ryan Fraser a new deal

Asked about Arsenal’s interest last spring, he said:”I’m not going to lie, it’s very nice. It means you are doing something right.

“They are a huge club, a massive club.

“When you see your name thrown around you always think to yourself that you are a Bournemouth player and you try to do well.

“I’m not going to lie, you do feel good, especially when it’s a massive club.”

Fraser has made a positive start to the season with the Cherries. The Scotland international has one goal and one assist to his name as Bournemouth sit 9th in the Premier League standings.
