What about Izzo? If we are looking to sign a somewhat experienced CB to partner Saliba when he returns.

He had a good season apparently.

We are buying him because there is no option better in the market right now. People at the club think we're better off doing this and having him next year over stock piling average defenders like Mustafi for £20M+

We buy Saliba, we loan him out, we buy say for arguments sake Izzo. We're then left with (Including potential outs)

Sokratis
Holding
Izzo
Mavropanos
Mustafi

For two spots. And that's with us getting rid of Kosc, Bielik AND Chambers which is unlikely.

Saliba then comes back, we have Sokratis, Holding, Izzo, Mavropanos and Saliba for two CB spots. Pointless. It may not seem like it, but this is the best option for centre back.

Think the loan Will be very good for him. Not really ready to start for us yet. One more season under his belt playing most games will be so good. Blessing in disguise. Hopefully he will learn english during the year too

But its not for 2 CB spots, you need 4. If we cant sell Mustafi then Mavro will probably go out on loan. When Saliba joins next summer Sokratis will be another year older and we can try to get shot of Mustafi again. Also I think we'll keep one of Bielik or Chambers, hopefully Bielik so its unlikely we bring anyone else in eg Izzo.

Arsenal Quotes

In 1997/98 we became English champions as I had set myself three missions to carry out which I felt were essential. One: to have an impact on the result and the team's playing style. Two: to foster the player's individual development. Three: to strengthen the structure of the club and enhance its global influence.
