League is very weak
Arsenal is bum mania. Full of average talent, people who don’t want to be there, people there just to collect their pay, people who banter the fans, make mistakes every week.

Really feels like the Arsenal badge means nothing.

When was the last time you looked at the Arsenal squad, and saw a team that made you proud?

Every Wenger team. The talent and ability might have been questionable, but he always had players you knew cared and were passionate about the shirt. Even in his final tough years you had Per, Kos, Sanchez, Nacho, Santi, Ramsey, Jack etc.

Now I don’t know, it’s not the fault of Emery either btw.

Squad needs a senior figure who is a Mr Arsenal type, or even a captain of the like (that one went south in spectacular fashion, which is why he was immediately removed from the position). Someone who can stand there and shout at them about the badge and what it represents, without inducing smirks or feelings of 'jobsworth ******' towards them. Big ****ing ask.

Poor on the ball and too lightweight for the PL. Also has been consistently worse than Xhaka has been since Christmas last year. But I suppose I better whisper that.

Do like Lucas, kinda miss Coquelin though.

Everyone has been worse than Xhaka, but once Arsenal fans have highlighted a target for their frustrations there is no going back.

Stop rewriting history. Xhaka has stunk the place out on a few occasions and has made huge mistakes in the process. He's been our senior player in midfield as well so it's ridiculous to hold others to the same standards at either a young age or their first season in the prem (or both for doozy and even Torreira).

This squad lacks senior figures. E.g. Aubameyang and Sokratis are seniors of some sort, but not at Arsenal and both have never been leaders. You can make up for not having singled out leaders or senior figures with a group of individually ambitious people who will then turn into a group to fulfill their individual ambitions without the need for leader figures as everyone will push themselves, but this lot is not that and is seriously in need of some guidance, I feel. And the manager isn't that either right now. Ramsey is a rather quiet person and maybe not the stereotypical leader, but he was the last sort oft Arsenal man in the squad apart from academy teenagers. I remember in that interview after their farewell, Cech said you came into the dressing room and there was Ramsey, who had spent most of his career at Arsenal and embodied it. There's no such figure, vocal or quiet, right now. And there's no manager who can fill this gap, either.

A lot of this group also seem to just lack the integrity, professionalism and fun for it. E.g. never thought of Nacho as much of an Arsenal man, but he seemed to enjoy to play football and had enough integrity and professionalism to do his job week in week out with the best intents for his current employer - to use bland words.

While we're at it I think Mertesacker is made for more than academy head. Guy's always been a bit of a different thinker, never shied away from saying his opinion in public, seems pretty down to earth and intelligent.

We’re like a poorer Man United. We spent money but you couldn’t tell with this team, just stock piling average players with no balls.

It’s been like this under Arsène as well though, just lots of poor players holding us back, but at least Arsène did it with some style and grace. Emery has no idea out there.

Yup, quite clear Per is an intellectual.

Thoroughly average player who can be easily replaced. PL is not the right fit for him. Needs to move back to Italy and leave the #11 for Martinelli.

This also coincided with the start of Emery's experiments with him. First half of the season he played regularly in his specialist DM Position and was fantastic. His Performance went downhill when Emery decided he would be Ramsey's replacement.

Arsenal Quotes

When I arrive at the gates of Heaven the Good Lord will ask "What did you do in your life?"
I will respond "I tried to win football matches."
He will say: "Are you certain that's all?"
"Well, that's the story of my life. It is not easy to win football matches, you know."
