This summer is the consequence of about 4 years if poor signings and just flushing money down the drain. It's all caught up with us now, we're unable to sell the trash we got. If anything we're lucky Leno got injured because the only money we got was for Martinez, imagine if he never got the chance to show what he can do, how much would we have sold him for? The damage that has been done to this club by first Ivan and then a combination of Sven and later Raul could take years to reverse because the **** they've brought in is virtually unsellable.

On the plus side, a lot of the dross will be out of contract in 8 months time. After that, we're still left with about five players with question marks against them but space on the squad and still no lump sums to rebuild with

Loan him? No point him sitting on bench losing value here. If he has a good season we can sell for decent money next season.

Maybe Raul and Emery we’re very keen on Thomas Partey, now they’re gone we aren’t convinced that there’s value there.

It’s obvious that Edu was trying to help us get Bruno Guimarães and we couldn’t even secure that deal with Lyon only in the running.

With hindsight getting rid of Raul right before the window was probably a bad idea, Arteta and Edu arn't exactly experienced in the transfer market.

That 4:1 at halftime for Aston Villa against Liverpool highlights again that it's mostly our bad midfield that is holding us back.

We cannot hurt them because we create so little when we get dominated in the center.
