Yes. To compete for the league you need a solid defence. The CB's we have right now are either average/ inexperienced. A top quality one with experience is vital. It will also help Gabriel and Saliba grow.

A rcb with Holding present essentially makes Saliba 3rd choice. How is that fighting for a place? We spent 30 million on a CB. Coach him ffs.

I'm not sure why people like yourself are so sure that he is 1) an excellent CB or 2) showing anything in training to say he's worthy of a starting spot in the premier league.
"He must be better than Holding" I've seen people say, why? Things like this wind me up, he's still an unknown, yes he needs a chance but I doubt the clubs stance on Holding has changed from last year. The only reason he ended up staying was due to injuries.

Saliba was just as unknown as Fofana was and now ones a starting CB at a top club and the other is still 'unknown' take a f*cking chance on him at first-team CB.
He spoke plenty about Gabriel early summer and also has spoken about Ødegaard in summer saying we'd look in January. Also mentioned about the pay cuts and layoffs.
