Not even sure why there is so much talk about his return, it's not like we are waiting for prime Vieira to return. Xhaka is a meaningless player for us, we can swap him for nobodies like AMN and Lokonga, and at worst, the results are gonna stay the same.
I disagree he is not meaningless he is the guy who picks up a yellow in the tunnel and who the other team presses when he has the ball in hopes he will turn the ball over for gilt edged opportunities. Our chances of getting a red card increase by 50 percent every time Xhaka is capped. And we know how great we are defending 11 on 10.

Exactly, why can't our good players over the years be like this?

Meanwhile...I don't remember Mustafi every really being injured, ffs...while the likes of Xhaka and Giroud are just walking off broken bones
Just another aspect of the quality of Giroud. A player we should never have sold. Top man!

If Van Persie had Giroud's healing ability, we would have won at least 1 more league title.

He’d have just left sooner, probably not for Utd though he would have had more choices.

Maybe

You're wrong, no?

There were so many ifs from 2006-2012, nothing worked in our favor especially on the injuries front. People here think that we should admire a bum like Xhaka for his recovery ability when we have a better chance of getting Europe without him.

I'll just say what other people think but they are too nice to say it: I really do hope that Xhaka stays injured till June and we get rid of him in the summer.
There you go

We will likely sell him next summer yes. He should have been a squad player for a long time now.

But I want people like Sambi get a nice amount of games in his first EPL season. Which means not playing too much, and keeping fresh for games until the end of season.

We need Xhaka for that, unless they upgrade him already in January.

By the way I liked Giroud as well but despite his worst performance ever I would still rather have Auba

Giroud has better hair, not to mention beard. In the end, we all know that is what really matters. Gervinho was doomed from the start, the hairline gave it away.

The Frenchmen is a handsome fellow, if I looked like Giroud I’d never get married I’d go Shawn Kemp and have like 17 baby mommas.

League is very weak
Is Giroud handsome? I’m not sure Kevin Samuels would rate him about 5.5 you know.

Obviously being rich adds some prestige to a man. A woman is pretty/beautiful no matter if she’s an actress or cleaning toilets at Tesco.

Need Xhaka back ASAP for them winter games.

Dude is 6’4 and ripped with good hair. The money helps immensely but you wildly over estimate the rest of us if Giroud isn’t good looking. Let’s get a poll of the ladies on the Giroud question. If he is ugly then I should shoot myself

I'm channelling all my energy and prayers into Partey, Sambi and AMN staying fit and Arteta picking them over Mr X. I think we've seen that we can function and thrive without him which is all I wanted to see.
With options I assume Arteta picks the best performers and does some rotation when needed. A manager who wants to succeed, does that.

What is for sure, is that Sambi shoudn't play too much in his first season in EPL. It's just common sense to keep him fresh and without injuries for his development.

Plus I have liked AMN's performances in midfield this season, but surely I don't trust his focus and passing yet.

Anything so that Elneny doesn't play, and Xhaka is needed to guarantee that.

This is where I am at too. Recent matches have put to bed the idea that Xhaka is indispensable or our midfield will be completely lost without him. Partey, Sambi and AMN at their best are doing much better than Xhaka and at their worst are pretty much the same as the results we get with Xhaka in the mid.

Arteta's biggest weakness so far has been the way he give special treatment to his favourite players. But he has been lucky in many ways. Injuries forced him to play ESR, Willian leaving by himself, Xhaka injury forced him to play Partey/Sambi. Now the question is did he learn his lessons from these? Will Xhaka just walk into the lineup as always? Well if this is the hill he wants to.......

I prefer Elneny as a number 6, and I prefer everyone else to Xhaka as a number 8; so in my book he should be out mate. If we are short handed due to international competition I would prefer we call up a youngster or hold tryouts in pubs close to the stadium. People bag on Elneny, he is very safe and limited player who is a decent specialist as a pure defensive midfielder. I would hate him as a box to box midfielder.

Young Ainsley or Sambi need to fill that position or move Partey further up and bring in agricultural Mo at least he is good at farming.

The reality is we'll struggle to bring anyone above average in during the January window.

AMN and Lokonga isn't great depth or options wise. There's not a lot of experience there as CM's. Xhaka will be another option.

I don't particularly rate the guy but I'd much prefer him back and available for the AFCON period than not. At worst he's another body.

Sambi makes me nervous whenever he plays, think AMN is better, defensively at least which is good.

Sambi seems quite slow, weak, and doesn’t seem to have any end product/final third talents even taking his age into account. Ainsley on the other hand is a great athlete and pretty good at mopping up defensively.

Arsenal Quotes

I knew we were very different, that he (Ferguson) had a total hold over his club while at that time I was still more of a coach. I also recognised his huge qualities. He knew how to surround himself with the right people and didn't rest on his laurels when he was successful.
