They were signing the wrong types of players, they were signing guys you'd sign for a team that was already pretty good and ready to compete. These guys were never gonna turn things around. United needed some really top signings in multiple positions. Ten Hag made a big mistake backing Maguire and De Gea in the summer, it might have given him a lot to do, but these are guys that let Ole down and let Ralf down, guys who aren't capable of playing the style he wants. Instead they persist with these guys and add a 5 foot 7 CB to that which has now made things worse. Still lack a 6 who can get on the ball in tight areas and evade pressure. FB's don't fully convince you either.

Rangnick talked about needing massive changes and he was hounded out. I've no idea of the full details there but something went terribly wrong there.
just not sure either Ralf or ETH are big enough to make these changes at a club at United... its got to be done above them

feels clear neither come in with respect of the players day one. they need results to win over the dressing room

They are both right to be fair. Funny viewing though, have noticed Redknapp seems to get spicy very quickly.

Looking like father more and more too,

Thoughts on them being the most exciting team in world football atm boss?

One of the most vomit inducing clubs, every time something goes wrong the finger is immediately pointed to the Glazers.

All quiet when they’re dropping £££ in the transfer market though.

This is another major problem and with Ole before them, Ole was lucky he was a club legend so they sort of had to respect him a bit for a while anyways but none of them have the personality or authority to command respect from these players.

Erik Ten Months at this point surely? Can't continue this trajectory. Also can't be saying Ronaldo isn't fit and will need time, only to start him on the weekend.

It's not the owners though is it? Upper management, maybe.

They've spent comparable sums to Man City in recent years. Whoever's manager gets backed. They should be challenging for the title pretty much every season. They've bought average players or decent players who don't fit into the structure they want to implement.

There's just no structure in place or guidance from upper management. It's not like the Glazers are telling them who to buy.

yeah, even Fergie wasn't having some of Ralfs men

As a coach, Armas managed Toronto, New York Red Bulls and worked in the management teams with the Red Bulls, Adelphi Panthers and former side Chicago. After Armas relayed his CV to Ferguson, the legendary United boss brutally replied: "You’ll need more than that here, son."

This is clearly the glazers’ fault, they let horrendous executive cores proliferate while making horrendous decisions. Who else could possibly be to blame for long term failure.

Never really been here, Strange stuff.
