Also, it's kinda funny how all the United fans saying the players they have are **** and they need a new rebuild...were the ones predicting them to get Top 4 and that Ten Hag could turn them around instantly, only 2 weeks ago.

Letā€™s not get carried away 2 weeks is not really much of a sample in a marathon season. United have deep structural problems I didnā€™t expect them to get CL but people shouldnā€™t get overly excited one way or other George Graham used to say start speculating on season after 10 matches; before that it is just too early to judge. I for one am happy to see the collapse of the Evil Empire; but letā€™s not do a jig on Hag and Unitedā€™s grave prematurely this season. I think they will struggle but really 2 matches is just 2 matches. But it is fun to laugh at them.

I love watching United fans lately on social media; I shouldnā€™t get my jollies off their misery but it is so tasty

Martinez United career looks dead already, mans getting violated on and off the pitch now.
Never forget some on here were actually thinking we'd sign the midget as a replacement for Gabriel

Edit: Ā£150M for Martinez and Maguire must be the worst piece of transfer buisness in PL history.

Could be salvaged tbh.

If they revert to a back 3 and become a better possession team suddenly his height doesn't matter as much. I don't recall many here wanted him at CB.

Erik ten Hagā€™s coaching staff, and players within the Manchester United squad, are growing increasingly frustrated with the conduct of Cristiano Ronaldo as his future threatens to plunge the club even further into crisis.

Senior figures have questioned whether it is worth keeping Ronaldo given that he has told executives that he wants to leave.

The 37-year-oldā€™s recent behaviour has caused concern among staff.

Ronaldoā€™s demeanour is said to be worsening the atmosphere at the clubā€™s Carrington training ground, with one source describing the Portugal forward as ā€œa walking bad moodā€.

The striker has a year left on a lucrative contract, meaning that United could face a significant financial hit to get him off the books. The clubā€™s owners, the Glazer family, may be reluctant to sanction any move to lose the one global star in the squad.

But keeping such a huge personality if he wants to leave could be even more problematic as United suffered embarrassing defeats by Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford.

Ronaldo appeared to ignore Steve McClarenā€™s plea to applaud the United fans after Saturdayā€™s humiliating 4-0 away defeat by Brentford. The five-times Ballon dā€™Or winner also did not acknowledge Ten Hag as he walked down the tunnel.

Ten Hag was so furious with the players that he cancelled their planned day off on Sunday and put them through a brutal training session in more than 30C heat.

Ten Hag made each player run 13.8 kilometres. Collectively, Brentfordā€™s players ran 13.8km more than United, who covered 95.6km between them on Saturday.

United continue to insist that Ronaldo is not for sale. Ten Hag said last Friday that Ronaldo was in his plans but talk of the Portugueseā€™s future is threatening to overshadow the Dutchmanā€™s attempts to start rebuilding the club after their struggles in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Ronaldo told United last month that he wanted to join a club that is playing in the Champions League.

Ronaldoā€™s position has been weakened by the fact that there are no European suitors willing to offer him a contract that matches his present earnings of around Ā£500,000 a week. Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have distanced themselves from a move for the forward in recent weeks. The only substantive offer that Ronaldo has is from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club, who are willing to hand him a two-year contract worth more than Ā£2 million per week.

Brentford scored all their goals inside the first 35 minutes, which prompted Ten Hag to hit out at his players in the dressing room.

At half-time he said it was unacceptable what we were doing on the pitch,ā€ David de Gea, the United goalkeeper, said. ā€œThen some tactical things. It was horrible from us.ā€

Ten Hag was back at his desk at Unitedā€™s Carrington base early on Sunday morning.

During the session, he told them that they had not met the high standards that he and the club demand. After Saturdayā€™s match, Ten Hag pleaded with the United board to sign some players before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Eight players departed this summer and so far, United have only signed Christian Eriksen, Lisandro MartĆnez and Tyrell Malacia.

ā€œWe need new players,ā€ Ten Hag said. ā€œWe need quality players. We are working on that and weā€™ll do everything to convince them to come.ā€

United are making progress in talks with Adrien Rabiotā€™s mother and agent Veronique over personal terms. United agreed a fee worth at least Ā£15 million with Juventus for the France midfielder last week after their loss by Brighton. Ten Hag also wants to sign a forward. Cody Gakpo, the 6ft 2in PSV Eindhoven winger, and the Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, are on his shortlist.

It could be, yeah, but heā€™s going to be targeted worse than Mustafi was for us. Lad just doesnā€™t look up to the physicality of the league.
When Gabriel was linked with Juve there was a few suggesting we could view Martinez as a potential LCB along with Saliba if we sold Gabriel.

Arsenal Quotes

I believe the target of anything in life should be to do it so well that it becomes an art.
When you read some books they are fantastic, the writer touches something in you that you know you would not have brought out of yourself. He makes you discover something interesting in your life.
If you are living like an animal, what is the point of living? What makes daily life interesting is that we try to transform it to something that is close to art. And football is like that.
