This guy is a ****ing nutcase.

Appropriately, he sounds EXACTLY like the mate of mine I referred to in my thread about why Vieira is quality.

See the counter arguments in that thread for a response to this one.

one of the dumbest things i have ever read.. if he is so bad and cant make it at Arsenal anymore, why did Real want him so bad the last 3 years? there isnt a team on the face of the earth who wouldn't give a left testicle to have Paddy on it...

who is this poor, unguided imbecile anyway?

Agree with his last point about Chel$ki spending £100 Million on £10 Million worth of players
The rest of it was absolute drivel, and to cap it all, he's been taking lessons in tact from big Ron

I know i'm gonna get some flak for this... He makes a very good point when he says "Thoroughly underwhelmed, no doubt, at the prospect of another three years telling Paddy and Thierry how great they are every twenty minutes or so. "
Eventhough I adore those players I tend to think that Paddy thinks that Arsenal are lucky to have him instead of the other way around!

Chelsea look to have spent roughly 100 million on about 10 million worth of players. Why else would Scott Parker still be in gainful employment?

thats the bit i liked most from it

I'll tell ya this, if Edu is there to 'sort things out' in midfield, then what the heck is Vieira doing there? Running the show? To answer my own question, yes he is. He's the showrunner and showstopper. He controls the midfield and forms it to suit his team's need. He doesn't run as much as he used to, but he makes the smart runs, the needed ones. And about his tackling, they are brilliant, just so you know. His passing is no where near as bad as he wants it to be. Sounds just like some crap journalist who wants to create a bit of discussion. Credit to him for that though - he succeeded.

And what is this about his cranium being small?? It don't look small to me. Perhaps I'm watching him from the wrong angle.

Quite right. What I hope to see this year is for patrick to translate our newly realized assuredity in defense to more pobing runs forward, and generally going forward looking for goals--- when playing with Gilberto. I think Paddy outta make himself more of a target in the box--ala Ballack, and also try to be more offensive. I think an offensive threat, or at least a player marauding from CM could be a good thing.

Ignore it, the witer is using an ad hominem as an argument. Translation: he has no argument, so he insults. So here's an insult for the writer: Fat ****ing *****, eat **** and like it.

The only thing I agree with in that article is that Jose Reyes will be a big game player for us.

i dont really think vieira needs asissts in its statistical form i.e the last pass to the goal scorer. his ability to turn defence to attack more than makes up for that as most of the attacking moves originates from his pass, more so on the counter. what i'd like to see though is more goals. setpieces for instance. he is so tall, he should be getting at least 5 from corners per season. we now have specialist corner takers in the shape of reyes and van persie, so hopefully he can benefit from that.

I do agree with one thing though: Paddy completely disappeared during our second half with Chelsea in the CL and his passing became very poor.

Everyone dissapeared in that second half especially in the midfield and up front, Chelsea played the better football that night especially in the second and therefore went through.
