Rory always getting mudded.

Rory did win me over a little at the weekend on Sky, when he said that Welbeck should be going to the World Cup for England.

So every now and then he does know what he is talking about.

Let this lad have a go against Grealish and he won't be able to handle the smoke.

Sincere question. Had a mate saying that now City have dominated the league since Fergie left all the kids in the city are going to be City fans.

You lot worried about how the city might actually be blue at some point?

My dad is actually a City fan from the 60's and idolised the likes of Francis Lee, Colin Bell etc, yet I grew up a red. For most of of locals it's always been the biggest rivalry, you grow up in Manchester and you're either a red or blue. I think that's actually lost on so many of fans who don't understand the tribal feeling of actually supporting and growing up in Manchester.

But in the grand scheme of things, I don't think it matters much. A lot of the United fans you meet have probably not even stepped in Manchester before. The support is international and it's too big of an organisation commercially no matter where they are in the league. It's something that matters to locals but probably not many outside of that.

I have to say Rodri has turned into a world class player these last couple of seasons. Not only is his passing and reading of the game and defensive contribution absolutely top notch now, he's also become a long shot specialist and one of the best in the game at that.

I was saying to my mates that I would start him in a double pivot with Busi in the World Cup. Gives us a good platform to let Pedri and whoever else we pick from the much of muchness for the other 3 forward positions (more and more think Borja Iglesias might be our best CF) do their thing and for a team that will always control every match at that level and face low blocks Rodri's long shot ability will be an important weapon.

this season is probably City's best chance of going on an unbeaten season with every other team still getting their bearings on Haaland. they're top quality in basically all positions already, and it's not like they can significantly improve on this through market activity going forward.
