AS are also reporting it, I'll dig up the link later.

Arsenal are in for Navas and Higuain

Re: Alexis Sanchez

Surely if they are looking to get shot of him then they'd probably drop the price significantly below 20m? I was thinking around half of that

I'm not sure he'd be a priority with us needing a CF, CB and DM

I'd love him here tbh. In our system he'd be pure gold.

Re: Alexis Sanchez

Don't get the Navas links when we have a comfortably better player, Navas is the better footballer but Theo is all about end product, Navas couldn't hit the numbers Theo has been putting up in recent year's.

Re: Alexis Sanchez

These stories are all about web clicks nothing else
Last week Szczesny needed competition, now that he's been dropped to the bench he's being sold next summer and Cech is replacing him

Alexis has had a bad season with Pedro regaining his place in the team but if Villa leaves next season) (which is likely) Barca are not going to sell Alexis even if they get Neymar which is unlikely (will most likely leave after 2014)
Barca know the importance of competition for places in the team

P.S Alexis will be sold for 20m+, he's only 24 with a contract till 2016

I agree Theo has the much better end product but Navas would be more productive to our team, great chance creation rate and he would strike a great understanding with Santi/Jack. He's not leaving La Liga though so its a pointless transfer rumour.

Those attributes would prove rather fruitless though since there's no one to create for if Theo doesn't player other than Giroud, and you're already fapping about with the ball enough as it is.

Re: Alexis Sanchez

I can't see us buying a CAM or a winger next season, we dont have a lot of cash and areas like ST, CB, CDM and maybe RB are going to be the priority

Re: Alexis Sanchez

Would wager that if we were interested in signing him Arsène wouldn't use him as a winger. He'd be used as a striker.

Re: Alexis Sanchez

Can't think of a better style winger in our system than Sanchez. He's a bit like Hazard - a spiky, creative dribbler who can finish.

Re: Alexis Sanchez

Not a massive fan of Alexis Sanchez to be honest, however that is perhaps more because I have seen more of him in a Barcelona shirt than in a Udinese one. Perhaps he was a bad signing for Barcelona. They play a slow game, with good movement, and pin the opposition team back. Sanchez' key skill is his pace, and attacking with the ball at his feet at pace. There aren't enough opportunities to do that for Barcelona.

Could potentially work in our system, and would certainly be a step up from Gervinho and Walcott, however as it stands, I'm not a big fan.

Don't think he'd come here anyway.

Unless

............Cazorla
Navas.................Podolski
..........Theo

I think Theo works better than Giroud with those 3 behind him.

Re: Alexis Sanchez

Wouldn't want Navas tbh. I'd also pay no more than 15m for Sanchez - can't see him heading for 20m+.

Re: Alexis Sanchez

Not sure how £20m for Sanchez would be a 'steal' given that that's how much Barca paid for him 2 seasons ago and he's been shocking for them.

Re: Alexis Sanchez

Haven't been too impressed with Alexis at Barca and I really haven't seen much of him from Udinese but it looks like he could be a top player for a side like ours from the snippets I have seen and heard. A wide forward like El Sharaawy, Lamela or Sanchez would be a nice change from the limited players we have at the moment. They all have the flair that Podolski and Walcott lack.

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
