Almunia bites back

I can see the point, that Almunia has made high-profile mistakes in about four games now, but keepers should be allowed more time to settle in, without being immediately slaugthered by the press (and the fans).

At the same time, Almunia shows some promising signs: good kicking and reflexes.

We need to see more of him and need to give the guy time until the end of the season. By then, we should all be able to make a sound statement to see if he is the long-awaited topclass keeper that does not only a decent job, but who helps us win games.

Both of them should get straigthened out by Arsène.

one of them needs to go now i think. the last thing we need is to have two players posion each others' performance, especially when neither exactly instills you with confidence in the first place.

Arsenal Quotes

The coach's role is to make the player understand everything that serves the interest of the game. To do this he must speak to the child within each player, to the adolescent he was and the adult he is now. Too often a coach tends only to speak to the adult, issuing commands for performance, for victory, for reflection, to the detriment of the child who is playing for pleasure, living in the present.
