Seen this floating around a few places today. Some sources even claimed he was on trial with us.

I've not seen him but they say he's the new Essein. If he was half that I'd take him in a flash.

Annan stood out in a Ghana midfield containing Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien and his displays at the Africa Cup of Nations means the big clubs are sniffing around. Annan is rumoured to be signing for Chelsea in the summer. Small, yet powerful and exceptionally skilful, the young Ghanaian has been compared with Pablo Aimar - and it not hard to see why. - source

He's only 5ft 9.

Not what we need in a DM.

Love it, never seen him play but rule him out due to wikipedia...

He may be an amazing DM in the style of Essien but if he ain't tall enough to offer our dwarven CBs some protection from aerial balls then I don't think he can bring anything to our team.

The guy is a midget. Look at the picture.

Is he in anyway related to the great Kofi Annan? If so then snap him up.

According to the experts on this forum, we don't need a peace-keeper in the middle of the park, we need someone to smash/destroy the other team. If he is related to Kofi, chances are he's not the type of player we "need"

Are you kidding me? Kofi's relative and Arsenal are a match made in heaven. We no longer have the desire to wage wars against ManU and Chelsea. We just want to be a peacekeeper. A protector of Rome which consists of 4 Ucl spots.

Mind you that city is now in grave danger as well because we are looking more and more like the 300 numbnuts in stead of Spartans. The leader of the clan is too busy yelling "This is ARSENALLL!!!" to find reinforcements.

I have seen every of Annan's games this season as he plays for my favourite Norwegian team atm, Norwegian Tippeliga leaders Stabaek. My description of the player in "The offical starlets" thread.

Annan is the perfect example of what a modern defensive midfielder should be. He has an eye for the game and is almost always in the right spot at the right time, his work rate is amazing, he can time his tackles to perfection, he can distribute the ball with ease and precision, he is fearless when going for the ball and he has a temper that makes him stand up and axept no bs.

However as I see it, there is one to two problems.
1. It has happened many times that a player dominating the Norwegian Tippeliga, fail to make an impact in a bigger league.

2. Another possible problem is that Stabak is playing against Rennes on Thursday and if he plays then, he would be unable to play in CL wouldn't he?

i am under the impression that if a player plays in a UEFA Cup qualifier, he can still play in the CL for a different club should he get transferred..

however, this is extremely unlikely to happen anyway

His preference is to join United:

F**k Him. Fair enough he wants the money to 'feed his family' but hes just offering himself to anyone. Maybe its confidence but I dont like that in a player

Agents seem to think having a player watched by us means we're interested. We watch hundreds of players, it doesn't mean anything.

Arsenal Quotes

I can really see the light. I’m telling you I’m very positive most of the time. I’ve seen the light and I can see bright lights. There can be bumps in the road within that light, but I can see a lot of light.
