Let's judge Eddie at the end of his stint, he is going to play first choice striker for another month or so. He is no 2 for a reason - ie the no 1 is deemed to be better, so you expect some amount of drop off. But to crucify him and make up minds about him "not being good enough" is counterproductive and makes one unobjective, scrutinizing every miss and ignoring good things he does. I am supporting him (and Jorghino) they are both essential to our title chances. He's had a few non scoring games but still scored 4 league goals in 9 playing against (including) the no 2,3,4, 5 and 7 and 9 teams in the league so no mugs. Lets see how he does in the next few games.

You use the phrase'billion times better' and then try to deny hyperbole? Its kind of inherent in the phrase!

And def not better movement or athleticism. Agree Balogun is much more rounded and has a higher ceiling as things stand

Yes better movement and athleticism Balo is much faster and stronger then Eddie

Why are we hating on Eddie all of a sudden? Yes, he hasn't been on fire, but he keeps fighting and hurrying defenders. Bet he scores against Leicester and everything will die down again. Keep some faith for once!

Typical nonsense from AM, wanting to throw Eddie in the bin after a few quiet performances in front of goal. Shows the lack of understanding of what makes a good player, and just running on vibes.

Eddie is a top contributor to this side, and a key reason why we are still top by 2 points and have a game in hand. We simply arent first without his contribution over the last 3 months.

Superb player at 23, with so much more to add to his game.

I agree. He is doing a good job off the ball. He is getting in good goal scoring positions, but has been a bit unlucky and has snatched at some chances. Is he the best striker we can have, no, he is not, but he is doing a good job. Just needs to put one or two away again. Leicester should be just what the doctor ordered! :fcrossed:

People writing off his ability to get into good positions are the same bunch that wrote off Nunez when he was misfiring in front of goal.

Conversion rates can and is worked on. Eddie, can still improve there and in other areas for sure.

Eddie dropped today apparently carrying a slight knock. The rest may do him good, we have another game on Wednesday too. Maybe he'll start that one.

Yeah Eddie has been carrying a knock.

Hopefully we dont need to bring him on today, along with TP5. There is a game on Wednesday as well.

If you consider yourself a Big Club, yet let a young player who has the potential to be AVERAGE, not even good but average, hold you to ransom then Nketiah happens.

Eddie Nketiah - a Very Poor Man's Balogun.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal have always been the club of the people, the streets. Arsenal was one of the first clubs to really have black players, so it did represent the mass of the UK and how London is. I hope people at the club know that and who are they playing for.
