Maybe
You're wrong, no?
If Modric can do it at 37, maybe our guy can do a few more years as well. It's not like he was ever using his pace

Modrić is an anomaly. Yeah he's more of a technician but his agility and work rate are somehow still there at 37. You'd expect him to be someone who needs protection around him at this age a la Pirlo, but nope.If Modric can do it at 37, maybe our guy can do a few more years as well. Was never against this signing like I was with Willian and Luiz. Firstly, because he was clearly bought as a backup to Partey/Xhaka whilst the young midfielders find their feet or leave.
Secondly, there’s no downside. He’s not error prone like Luiz, he‘s a classy ball player with plenty of life left in him. He’ll be a good stabilising influence on the youngsters in a title campaign too. Win, win buy.
Willian has played 14,5x 90 minutes for the 6th place club in EPL. 3+3, a point per 217 minutes though, not the best, but Fulham isn't the best attacking team.Willian showed he’s got that dawg in him this year.
The 2019/20 Willian couldn’t blossom in our conditions…

Sometimes players just have bad years, or do not adjust to the new club. And can have confidence issues. He is now two years older, and still performs pretty well in the toughest league in the world.
Yeah conventional logic was that he was washed when we got him.
Confidence got knocked early playing for a team that struggled to create chances.
He’s looked real good in big games this year for them. Shocked at his age how good he’s been.
He will go down as the best player we have ever signed from Chelsea, which admittedly isn't the hardest list to top but still something good for Jorginho

Song was great at his one touch passing and playing the odd glorious through ball to van perise.Song after a pretty understandable ropey start as a youngster had a couple of good seasons here where he played some eye catching long balls. His career completely fell away when he left.
I understand that his couple of good seasons here may to you have looked better than TPs due to Parteysstruggle with injuries at times.
However to say he is a level above Partey who has had many good seasons as a pro is really reaching & pretty disrespectful to TP imho.
They are clearly both better as the 6 and neither of them will be able to replicate Xhaka's current role so there will be tactical adjustments either way. I believe Jorginho would be better positionally in that role than Partey and yet I would still choose to play Jorginho as the 6. I also feel Arteta may do the same given his past comments it seems like he appreciates what Jorginho does in a lone pivot as much as I do.If him and Partey are in the same starting line up, who will play the xhaka role
I think both are better as 6s,
Exactly I enjoyed watching Song in his good spell here. Tbf to him it's no disgrace to not make a big impact at Barca even Cesc who as a footballer was on a different planet to song didn't tear it up there.Song was great at his one touch passing and playing the odd glorious through ball to van perise.
But defensively he was bad, had a turning circle of a meduim sized ship. However not quite the Titanic like Xhaka.
His dribbling was none exisitant.
I never heard anyone say...oh damn Song isn't playing we're going to miss him.
Like so many arsenal players at the time, they had one purple patch and as soon as that happened they wanted to move to another club.
