Awesome game at San Mamés. Athletic and Betis played a vibrant game. The best I've seen in La Liga for a long time.

R.Madrid showed how lucky they are (again). Barça destroyed Zaragoza. Sevilla and Villarreal bored. Ranieri could be living his last hours as Valencia's coach. At.Madrid couldn't score against 10men Levante (75 minutes with 10 men).

sevilla are doing mightily well aren't they? Wenger must be sending his scouts to check them out.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Valencia won't even make Europe next season. Ranieri is an idiot, even if he is a nice person.

Sevilla are really surprising me. They play some good football. I saw the Barcelona game, and they were dominant all game. I really don't see Real Madrid catching up to them.

Baptista would be fantastic, but perhaps a little expensive. I've not seen him play but he sounds explosive. Big strong and fast. Although he seems to be enjoying the weather in Sevilla more - January's 442 mag has a small feature on him and he says "Thank God they [Sevilla] came in for me - I don't think I could have coped with the cold in Germany". He was bought as a defensive midfielder but scored 20 goals in 30 games as a second striker.
