wouldn't snatching at the first available manager show more weakness? it would in my book - waiting until someone we really want, if necessary to the end of the season, would show strength of purpose, IMO

Only if you've identified & reached out to your selected candidate would that constitute a strength of purpose. By continuosly dithering with their short lists & interviews, it shows decisive weakness as there's no unity on preferred candidates. They're wasting valuable time that can be spent sounding out the chosen candidate, setting the agenda for next season & beyond in addition to mapping the framework in which he'll be operating.

By the time they're through with their vetting process, we'll be left with Chris Houghton who will have had his turn at Watford by then :lol:
