Id take rafa tbfRafael Benitez. He can build a strong defense.

I don't think they'll make it any better i mean the mistakes will be still there there will be still lack of leadership Allegri won't play attacking football with us they defensive minded managers their tactics may be way better tho.We were crap in defence under Wenger in recent seasons and now under Emery. We need much smarter approach against top 6 sides and not to let smaller teams to get easy points against us.That's all comes from stable defence.Don't think that we need to defend against Brighton at home when it's tight match, but some balance is needed.
Why is Eddie Howe even on the list? Simply hasn’t built up the aura or reputation to manage players at the level of Arsenal.
He’ll have no respect in the dressing room.
Championed the Rodgers cause even before Wenger left. Unfortunately his work north of the border was not appreciated but a few months at Leicester and now he is viable. Gazidis should have had the bottle to bring him in the first place. What’s with the Rodgers love all of a sudden? Sure I mentioned him and Arteta in the summer and got crucified.
The son of Spain, student of La Masia, protege of Pep, ally of Wenger, iPad Arteta is coming home.
What a set of uninspiring managers. There is a dearth of proven, quality managers about.
Vieira: could be an option
Arteta: could we really afford to give a job of this magnitude to a novice? He might turn out to be a great manager or he might turn out to be a dud. We have no idea. The only arguments I have seen in support of him that he might do well is that he is learning directly from Pep. Unfortunately management doesn't work like that, if it did Giggs would be one hell of a manager by now, after all he spend 22 years watching Ferguson up close.
Rodgers: never could make up my mind completely about him. He plays decent football, seems to do reasonably well. One thing against him is his record in Europe. Both for Liverpool and Celtic. He seems to have a defined style, but again when his teams start to struggle it all looks a bit directionless. Liverpool looked great under him when he had Suarez, Sturridge and sterling on a roll. The season after when Suarez was sold and he had to work with Balotelli, it became a shambles and he seemed a bit hapless. So I'm not sure how good his coaching is. Atleast we will be able to tell more after this season with Leicester.
Nagelsmann, Ten Hag, Howe: they wouldn't do better than Emery.
Allegri: plays defensive football so I'm not sure our supporters would tolerate him for long. He is the only one on this list who seems a viable candidate. Has managed a big club before. Knows how to really set up a team not to concede. Has good European record. If Emery, and it is still an if, doesn't succeed here, I would go for him at the end of the season.
Good summary. Even though Allegri plays defensive, I think we'd benefit from a season of George Graham again. Learn he basics and then build from them. Arsène spoilt us but 1-0 to the Arsenal isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just want us t control games again.
I'm all for hiring a Guardiola, Klopp, etc. if a generational talent comes along, but in the absence of that, I'd lean toward continuity -- it's a tough league. And play boring uninspiring football like your closet club in Mourinho's time! No thanks.
The more I think about it the more Arteta makes sense, especially when you consider he’ll have a support structure around him, the days of one man running a club are gone.
Him and his coaches will drill the players on the training ground.
