Any news?
Yeah but his site is only accessible via ipad while Emery's is a full Windows/MacOS experience.Arteta has very similar on his site.
I like him even more.Already stamping his authority on the club by proclaiming he's the new manager before he's even signed. What a man
He can show what he can do at City as head coach and if he does well enough, maybe he can come here after that.
City hired Pep bleedin' Guardiola and only gave him a 3 year deal to start with.
City can also spend 200+ M every summer.
Pep doesn't sign long term deals. Never stayed anywhere more than 3 years. He says the manager loses their ability to control the players to the extent that he needs and the impact of his system is lost.City hired Pep bleedin' Guardiola and only gave him a 3 year deal to start with.
City are also located in Manchester and play in blue, but that doesn't have any relevance to what I was saying.
Right but Emery is quite similar to Pep in that he doesn't stay places for too long, maybe 3-4 years tops. Also the budgets have nothing to do with it. If Emery is doing well and building the team slowly and you want him to stay longer then you can just extend his deal. The point is that there's no reason why you need to give him longer than 3 years at the beginning.
It is imo. At 3rd year the rebuilding would maybe be half way there and the team is still struggling to get results. It gives owners excuse to sack him easily.
I'm ready to transport Areola, Kurzawa and Rabiot on my back upAny Emery favourites at PSG who might be open to moving to London..?
We can get some of their rejects...Jesse, Krychowiak, Ben Arfa, Kurzawa or even ADM....
The Kimpembe, Lo Celso or Rabiot will not happen though.
Hm if by the 3rd season there's still no real sign of progression then changing manager might be the right thing to do. We're not hiring Emery because we expect him to be our greatest ever manager, we're hiring him cos we want him to make us better and take us back to the Champions League, beyond that we'll see.
If he isn't doing that then we could just change manager, hence why it's silly to give someone a longer than average contract. 3 years is fine imo, it sends the message that we have realistic expectations. Giving Moyes a 6 year contract should be a warning, not an example to follow.
