Terrible hot takes
Physicality just pointless in the wide positions without the cardio to go with it.
And cardio is useless if you are a total alibi player like Monreal

Honestly I feel like that little boy who saw that the emperor was nude, while all you fools are heaping on the praise

He only just does enough to not be totally made , Lets the opposition go next to him into another teammates area so they will be blamed instead

Makes a huge show when he actually makes a simple tackle

Thinks highly of himself and is *****ing at other players when he was the one out of position

Technically if every player did this the opposition would have no option but to surrender the ball....

but sometimes(most of the time) it is better to try to break the attack early or on the flank instead of risking that the next guy (who is Monreals case most often is a central defender) does it and fails
or steering the guy into the sidelines or something

if monreal fails it is not a clear chance at goal

Some of you seem to be underrating Lucas on here. We obviously need firepower and goals to come from somewhere other than our strikers and Welbeck/Iwobi aren't reliable in that regard. Of course Mhki and Ramsey (if he stays) will chip in a few as well. I thought Wenger never gave Lucas a fair chance, but when he did, he always performed.

This guy has a deadly left foot, can actually cross a football, and created the second most chances in La Liga last year despite playing for a subpar team. I'm excited to have him back in squad with a new coach and system, could be very useful off the bench or in the EL.
