An Estonian newspaper reports that Arsenal's 3rd choice goalkeeper Mart Poom returns to London from his holiday to talk to "a Championship club", which is believed to be either Watford or Charlton. Poom has repeatedly indicated that he would like to play regularly to maintain his position in the Estonian national team and that he would also like to stay in London.

In the light of this news, it seems that our first three keepers in the next season will be Lehmann, Almunia and Fabianski.

I've read on another forum that Poom is about to have a medical at Watford on Friday.

didnt really do anything for us anyway except for play some reserve matches... used to be a decent enough keeper in the EPL, so going to a CC club would do him well at his age and ability... good luck to him if he goes

Although It's a wonder, if Poom leaves, surely Almunia wont or will he? who's our 3rd choice reserve keeper then?

If Fabianski's becoming the second choice Keeper, surely Almunia will leave no? And we'll be in trouble finding who to replace both keepers. seeing we've only purchased one......

my guess/hope is that almunia will stay for another season, then leave with Lehmann so we can sign a decent nr 1 in about a year. Fabianski will then be our nr 2.
