I hope we never get linked to Dembele. He is the worst possible signing for any team and I don't see why Barca us so desperate to renew his contract

Tri-swap with Auba going to Juve and Depay coming here would be very nice  Well, it works in theory at least...

Who is our resident J league specialist? If these lads are anything like Kyogo weve just acquired some talent.

Ngl I was waiting for something like this, I read some rumours on Twitter a few weeks back but I didn’t think it would actually happen.

Out of the three, I’d say the one I’m most confident that’ll succeed in the SPL is Hatate imo especially since he was one of Frontale’s key players after losing Mitoma and Tanaka last summer. Not really sure where Ange will use him as he’s very versatile, pacey and good with both feet. I’ve seen him play at LB numerous times for Frontale whereby he’s been utilised as an inverted fullback a bit similar to Marcelo but he’s been mainly playing in midfield for them and my gut feeling is he’ll initially fill in at fullback then eventually be deployed either as a 6 or 8 in midfield as he’s one of those players that can cover either position - Celtic fans should be excited by this one.

Mitoma another one who I thought would do well and was his teammate at Frontale is apparently killing it in the Belgian League from what I’ve heard. It’s going to be really interesting to see him in the PL as Brighton signed him last summer but loaned him out due to work permit issues/NT caps. He’s apparently secured enough points now and Brighton are considering recalling him in January, another smart addition by Brighton like Cucurella last summer.

Maeda is another interesting one as @yousif_arteta said he scored 23 goals however I’m still not sure how he’ll fit in alongside Kyogo who by the way has been fantastic for Celtic, as both players operate in quite similar positions, either out wide or through the middle. One of his key traits is his pace and off the ball movement which is why I’m interested to see how both him and Kyogo work together as they share some similarities. I’m sure there will be a lot of expectations on this one as their fans will be expecting him to replicate his goal scoring numbers in the SPL.

Ideguchi is the only one out of three which will be a little hard to determine since he’s already been to Europe but his time there was slightly unlucky. I remember he was rated a few years back then he secured a move to Leeds, he also had a few loan moves due to some work permit issues as he hadn’t played enough games for the NT. He injured his ACL whilst he was on loan then Bielsa decided to bin him as clearly he wasn’t the player he was expecting which is normal after a serious injury. Since then he returned back to Japan and he’s had a remontada, I’d say he’s a decent player but still have some doubt about whether he’ll succeed mainly due to his stint in Europe previously.
